Bringing expertise in affordable, single family design, Margaret Butler participated in a week-long charrette to create a new HOPE VI neighborhood on the site of a large housing project scheduled for demolition. Working with the Greensboro Housing Authority and internationally known urban planners Duany Plater-Zyberk and Company, along with the developer Mid City Urban and other architects, engineers and professionals, housing prototypes for over 600 units were designed as single family, multi-family, and senior units to integrate within a traditional neighborhood design.
